DSquared Development spectrophotometer applications provide easy instrument configuration and analysis setup in both routine lab analysis and real time process situations.  Flexible instrument controls and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) make our spectrophotometer applications ideal for automated data acquisition systems.  Our software is available on all Windows platforms..

Multiple Views

DSquared instrument applications provide multiple view windows to view sample, reference, dark, and raw data as well as various display types - spectra, tables, and charts. Views may be easily zoomed for efficient viewing of specific regions of the data. There is also a complete set of graph setup parameters to alter all graph attributes.

Instruments Supported

Instrument Control

All of DSquared Development's instrument applications utilize a common instrument control library.  These controls can be combined to build complex or simple automated instrument routines with the click of a button.  These methods can directly control pumps, valves, other external devices, and the instrument, in a variety of ways, and with a wealth of timing options.  They can also be saved and used with any compatible instrument application.  This allows backwards and forwards compatibility.

Instrument Control Methods

Instrument:

Acquire dark, Acquire diagnostics data, Acquire reference, Acquire sample, Repeat acquire, Run instrument function.

External:

IO analog in, IO analog out, IO digital in, IO digital out, IO digital out pulse, Request value (from external app), Send command (to external app).

Application:

Clear data, Save data, Set naming convention, Update File.

Timing/Flow control:

Assert, Button dialog, If / Then / Else, Jump to (includes subroutines and goto functions), Prompt user, Repeat/ Loop, Schedule, Sub method, Time interval, Time line, Timer.

Miscellaneous:

Comment, Post to output, Set variable.

Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)

DSquared Development instrument applications all provide for data export and external application control through DDE commands.  This friendly DDE connectivity allows data to be directly sent to Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet, Matlab (The Math Works), and of course DSquared Development's DeLight.  Our instrument applications can also be controlled from other programs such as LabView for Windows (National Instruments,) allowing them to be integrated into much larger system environments.

Validation

All of our software is also validateable.  Validation documentation is provided in electronic WinHelp format, and represents a new era in documentation.  We produce our validation documentation through our own process of software testing, ensuring their practicality.
