|
The ProSpectra is a compact, portable, rugged CCD-based spectrophotometer designed to acquire data in the SW-NIR (600-1100nm) spectral region. With few moving parts, it can be used in environments that are unfriendly to more conventional spectrophotometers. For example, it can be mounted directly on a combine for protein analysis in grain at harvest. See the On the Go page for more information on this application. |
Because of its ability to penetrate into solids, the shortwave near infrared region is ideal for non-destructive analysis of bulk materials and can be used for analysis of all organic and many inorganic substances.
The instrument has on-board software and can be used as a stand alone anaylzer, but is more powerful when interfaced through a Windows based PC and our DeLight and D2ProSpectra software. The instrument interface software provides an intuitive point and click environment for the development of automation scripts, which can control the instrument and external controls, such as switches, pumps, and valves.
Combine this instrument software with DeLight, our data processing and chemometrics program, and you have a complete suite for data analysis. The instrument software easily communicates with DeLight, where data may be run through many transforms with multiple views. Here it can be analyzed, and models may be built and validated. These models can then be saved and used for prediction in run-time or batch situations.
Our instrument software also supports Matlab, Excel, Pirouette, and other data analysis applications.
